Ever since I took an impromptu solo road trip across the southern tier of the U.S. at the end of 2012, I've discovered that travel is something that invigorates me, that challenges me, that removes me from my comfort zone and busts through every preconceived notion I have of this world and its people. Although they are each short stints of exploration, I've come to calling them my 'Walkabouts', because as a whole they have been a source of immense discovery of both the world and myself. From the familiarity of a car trip across America, to the comforts of Europe, to destinations in South America, Africa and Asia... each trip has been its own story.
